Keep on chipping away, day after day, once you are consistent in a few habits, it becomes much easier to add more quality habits to your daily or weekly routine. Do not give up, keep going until what you are doing becomes second nature.
I work a physically laborous job, do lifting hundreds, often thousands of pounds a day at work. I told myself that I will workout after work, to only come home exhausted. I felt like I had already done my weight lifting at work, my evening workouts lacked consistenty.
I switched to working out in the morning and what a game changer it has been, the body is recovered and fresh , with a few minutes on the rower it is ready to go. Plus, working out in the morning adds both strength and mobility, so I can attack my day with confidence.
Doing early morning workouts has also allowed me to have plenty of time to write on this blog. It is good to not think about that other thing you have do in the evening.
Keep chipping away, marking off the days that you win at something. One day those habits will be a durable and almost inflexible part of your routine.
