Guard Your Heart

As the new week starts, the quote that seems to sit on my mind and soul is >Guard Your Heart>, and perhaps that is the simplest answer to getting a lot of things right in our lives. How we handle our lives comes down to the choices we make, and that starts with as I repeat Guarding the Heart.

When we make a concerted effort to guard our hearts, to focus as as Paul exhorted in Philippians 4:8 whatever is true, whatever is honest, whatever is noble, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repot: think and give praise on those things.

Every time we wake up, we have a thought, which turns into action, that becomes a habit. When we consistently guard our hearts, we have better thoughts, are more willing to wake up refreshed and be better focused on our prayer, Bible study and the morning workout.

When we gurad our heart, we avoid the things that will corrode our heart for Jesus and cause us to rabbit hole on repeat into bd habits. I, for one, have been making steady improvements at avoiding the dreaded rabbit hole trap, and that starts with designing my life to make guarding my heart more simple. We do not need more obstacles towards the things that are good for us, but more obstacles that keep us away from the things that are bad for us.

Wake up eacch morning and pray for the strength to keep your heart guarded.
