Trivial

Yesterday, I wrote about how the phone robs us of what time, time that is irreverseable. How much of what we see on social media or Youtube actually takes ahold of us and ruminates in our minds, wheter good or bad. But, we still struggle to avoid it, even though much of it has no lasting impression.

The phone, especially after work, is akin to grabbing a beer from the fridge upon waling through your front door. It is a means of plopping down on a chair and just realaxing. But it is not the way to do it, and I am trying to find a consistent routine. Trivial matters may relax us, but do not create growth in character and integrity, becoming a man of God.

I read in a devotional about being Honest with God, and the author was talking about his bitterness that was causing him to take it out on others. He was not aware of it until a close friend pointed it out. His friend was tired of taking the brut of the author’s bitterness. This prompted the author to pray to God to search his heart and point out the cause of his bitterness.

If something hinders us, perhaps, we need to be honest with god and ask for help in searching our hearts, for answers and to stop that behavior that hinders. Let/s stop taking steps backwards and start keeping the steps forward. Live for meaningful things, greatly minimize the trivial.
