Privileged?

Mandana calling Kateley “privileged”, yesterday has been eating at my craw all of last night and this morning, throwing the words privileged, disabled and disfranchised a lot. You also tout your Sociology degree (proud of you); yes, there are “facts”, but “facts” have to be analyzed. There are tremendous minds that have different takes than you do: Thomas Sowell, Heather MacDonald and Charles Murray, are their analysis of less value… because they lean conservative? I do not invalidate anyone’s opinions or conclusions, because I disagree with them. I like to read The Dailywire, The Federalist (which has several Ph.d writers), the National Review (Charles Cook is the best and he is an atheist conservative), the City Journal. But… I have also read The Intercept, The Jacobian and The New Republic. My mind is not fixed…it is dynamic, I am willing to read all sides, even the sides that deeply perplex me. But… as Friedrich Nietzsch said…”A man’s worth is how much truth he can handle.” I am not going to have an informed mind from watching the news… no longer do. Preferring to read commentary, essays and books about current events. The way that you use those words “disabled” and “disfranchised” makes it seem like there is no escape, no out, no ownership for a better life… making people that fall into those labels (myself included) that they are stuck where they are or are not CAPABLE of being better, of moving beyond circumstances. I know, that my life will always be a little more inconvenient, than the average hearing person, but that is okay… I wouldn’t want to live an easy life by any stretch. I want to die empty… given my all. I know this is a little off topic from the original post, but I just needed to address the labels that you put on my sister in the earlier comments. Behind every facade of supposed “privilege” is a sacrifice, a responsibility and ultimately a choice.
